Zdenka Novović

Zdenka Novović is a Full Professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. With over 25 years of academic service, she progressed from Assistant (1997-2003) to Assistant Professor (2003-2008), Associate Professor (2008-2014), and Full Professor (2014-present). Prior to academia, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Mental Health in Novi Sad (1985-1996).

Her educational background includes:

• PhD in Psychological Sciences (Faculty of Philosophy, Novi Sad, 2004)
• Master's in Psychopathology/Clinical Psychology (Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade, 1997)

Her research focuses primarily on clinical psychology and psychopathology, with emphasis on:

• Mechanisms of depressive and anxiety disorders
• Development of psychological assessment instruments
• Projective techniques (especially Rorschach test)
• Vulnerability factors for mental disorders
• Classification of psychopathological phenomena
• Psychopathy and delusional disorders

She employs diverse methodologies including correlational studies, prospective longitudinal research, and experimental approaches.

Her publications demonstrate strong focus on psychopathology assessment tools, depression/anxiety mechanisms, and clinical methodologies. Recent works explore adolescent psychometrics (2017), ruminative thinking dimensions (2017), and stress-depression relationships (2015), while earlier contributions established foundational research on projective techniques and disorder classification.
