Zaker Rana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is affiliated with the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and The Tate Cancer Center at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he contributes to patient care, resident teaching, and clinical research.

- Training: Internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center (2015-2016); Residency at Northwell Health (2016-2020), where he served as Co-Chief Resident (2019-2020)
Dr. Rana specializes in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), brachytherapy, and radiation therapy for prostate and breast cancers. His clinical expertise spans all cancer sites, with a focus on multidisciplinary team-based care.
His research focuses on dose optimization, clinical outcomes, and toxicity management in stereotactic radiation therapies. Highlighted publications include studies on prostate cancer radiosurgery (2019), metastatic spine disease treatment (2019), and dosimetric comparisons for breast irradiation (2015).
Dr. Rana has authored 15 publications and presented 41 papers at national/international conferences, demonstrating sustained scholarly productivity during residency training.
