Zaina Gadema-Cooke is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the Logistics & Supply Chain Management BA (Hons) at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. She holds a BSc (Hons) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) since 2016, as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). Her research focuses on sustainable supply chain management, political economy, and critical social theory, with notable work on carbon labelling, disaster management, and policy formation.
Her research interests span sustainable business practices, biodiversity in education, agri-food supply chain resilience, and the application of behavioral economics to policy design. She has contributed to interdisciplinary studies on disaster risk reduction and the environmental impact of food systems.
