Zahirah Mokhtar Azizi is an Assistant Professor in the Architecture and Built Environment Department at Northumbria University. She holds a PhD in Management awarded in November 2017. Her research focuses on sustainable urban development, smart city technologies, green construction practices, and digitization in the built environment. She is currently accepting PhD students in areas such as sustainable and smart cities, digital practices in construction, low-carbon pathways, and collaborative decision-making in design teams.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Management (2017) and prior qualifications not detailed here. Research interests span the intersection of technology and sustainability, with emphasis on energy conservation, climate resilience, and collaborative project leadership in construction. She has contributed to over 17 peer-reviewed publications and actively participates in industry events, including the Low Carbon Homes North-East Regional Retrofit Summit (2021).
