ZHENG Xinyu

ZHENG Xinyu is a Lecturer and PhD candidate at the Department of Chinese Studies, University of Tübingen. She holds an M.A. in Transcultural Studies (University of Heidelberg) and a B.A. in History (Sun Yat-sen University). Her academic career includes research roles at the Heidelberg Centre of Transcultural Studies and projects at the University of Hong Kong and Academia Sinica Digital Centre.

She examines how physicians adapted medical models during epistemic crises, analyzing historical medical texts within their social and intellectual contexts. Current teaching includes courses on medical texts, Chinese language, and research methodologies.

Teaching activities span workshops like "Healing through Reading" and "Basic Research Skills", reflecting her commitment to bridging historical scholarship and pedagogy.
