ZEHRA GÜNER is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Gaziantep University Faculty of Dentistry, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry. She has been actively contributing to dental education, teaching multiple courses in Pediatric Dentistry across various academic years, including both theoretical instruction and clinical practice.
Her educational background includes a specialization in Dentistry (2017-2020) from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Dentistry, Clinical Sciences Department of Pedodontics, and her dental degree (2009-2014) from Gaziantep University Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. GÜNER's research primarily focuses on pediatric dental materials science, particularly fluoride-releasing materials and their properties, color stability of dental composites, and management of dental trauma in children. Her work demonstrates expertise in evaluating nanomechanical properties of restorative materials and addressing various pediatric dental anomalies and syndromes.
Her extensive publication record shows a consistent focus on practical clinical applications in pediatric dentistry, with recent work examining rare syndromes like Aicardi-Goutieres and Mucolipidosis, dental trauma management, and developmental anomalies. Her research bridges materials science with clinical pediatric dentistry, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to restorative treatments and trauma management in children.
As a dedicated educator and researcher, Dr. GÜNER has supervised multiple theses on pediatric dental topics and leads several national research projects including studies on deep learning applications for dental radiographs and hypodontia detection.
