Yvonne Severinsen

Yvonne Severinsen is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate in Developmental Psychology at the University of Oslo's Department of Psychology, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the PROMENTA research center. Her work focuses on clinical practice, family systems, and prevention strategies. She holds a Cand. Psychol from NTNU (2001), a Master's in Management (specializing in Leadership and Consulting), and is pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology (since 2022).

Her professional experience includes roles as a clinical psychologist and unit manager in family welfare and outpatient clinics (2001–2022), specializing in psychosis teams, cleft lip/palate care, and emergency departments. Her research emphasizes parenting practices, emotional socialization, and prevention in clinical contexts, as evidenced by her 2025 publication on alcohol use and parental emotion socialization.
