Yvonne Howard

Professor Yvonne Howard is a distinguished faculty member at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), specializing in Vocal Studies and Opera. She has enjoyed an international career spanning continents, performing at prestigious venues such as Glyndebourne, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, and abroad in the USA, Japan, China, and Europe. Her diverse repertoire includes iconic roles like Norma, Cornelia in Giulio Cesare, and Fricka in Wagner’s Ring Cycle.

Notable collaborations include working with conductors Sir Bernard Haitink, Zubin Mehta, and Sir Mark Elder at venues like London’s Wigmore Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall. She has contributed to significant recordings including the Hallé’s Ring Cycle and Roxanna Panufnik’s Beastly Tales.
