Yvette Lowery

Yvette Lowery, DNP, MSN/Ed, FNP-C, CCNR, CEN, PCCN serves as Program Director for the Graduate Nursing DNP program at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from South University, with prior degrees including a Post-Master’s FNP from Graceland University, MSN from Jacksonville University, BSN from Norfolk State University, and LPN certification from Virginia Beach School of Practical Nursing.

Her research focuses on improving cervical cancer screening practices, as evidenced by her DNP project addressing Pap smear misuse in underserved populations. She has ten years of teaching experience across all nursing education levels and actively mentors students through preceptorship roles. Co-chair of research initiatives for DNPs of Color, she advocates for healthcare equity through professional organizations like the National Council of Negro Women and American Heart Association.
