Yves Loiseau is a Lecturer and Educational Manager of the Master's Degree in Language Teaching (FLE, Cultures, and Media) at the Faculty of Humanities, Université Catholique de l'Ouest (UCO Angers). He holds a Doctorate in Language and Culture Teaching from the University of Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle (2002). His research focuses on learning, empowerment, teacher-learner interactions, and intercultural mediation in language education.
Key research interests include the integration of literature in FLE teaching, the impact of instructional design on academic success, and the role of educational mediation in multilingual contexts. He has presented at international conferences in Thailand, India, Tunisia, and Mongolia, addressing topics such as intercultural exchange through board games, distance learning effectiveness, and cultural representations in language learning.
Loiseau has authored/co-authored books, including Study Abroad, Traditions and New Directions (2019) and Polyphonies franco-chinoises (2015), and serves as an expert reviewer for journals like Synergies Espagne. His teaching spans undergraduate and graduate levels, covering didactics of FLE, pedagogical engineering, and intercultural communication.
He is affiliated with the CHUS research team and actively contributes to the development of innovative teaching methodologies. Current work emphasizes large-group teaching strategies and metacognitive approaches in language education.
