Yuyan Chen

Yuyan Chen is a Senior Research Officer at the Children's Cancer Research Unit (CCRU) and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the Discipline of Child and Adolescent Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. She holds a Master's in Medicine from Fudan University and a PhD in Paediatrics from the University of Tokyo.

  • Identifying germline variants in cancer predisposition genes
  • Functional characterization of novel somatic/germline variants

Her recent publications focus on childhood cancer genomics, AAV vector optimization, and TPD52's oncogenic mechanisms. Key themes include Cancer, Reproductive/Maternal Health, and Molecular Biology.

Current Research Students: Safaa AL HAJ HUSSEIN, Teah GOODHAND, Acadia SIVANATHAN. She works with labs including CCRU and Kids Research, focusing on pediatric cancer functional genomics.
