Yuting Chen is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Hamilton College. He received his B.S. in chemistry and computer science from UC Berkeley in 2018 and his Ph.D. in chemistry and scientific computing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2024. He joined Hamilton College's faculty in 2024.

Chen's research focuses on computational chemistry and quantum mechanics, particularly on designing system-specific DFT functionals using machine learning and evaluating interaction energies in high-spin open-shell systems with Green’s Functions. He teaches courses ranging from general chemistry to quantum mechanics and thermodynamics.
