Yutaka Yoshida, Ph.D., is a Professor of Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medicine and Director of the Laboratory for Neural Connectivity Development in Physiology and Disease at Burke Neurological Institute. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo and completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University. His research focuses on neural circuit formation, function, and regeneration in motor systems, particularly corticospinal circuits and spinal cord injury recovery. Key areas include axon guidance mechanisms, synaptic specificity, and therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases like ALS.
