Yuri Khoroshilov is a Full Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Michigan (2005), as well as MA degrees in Economics (University of Michigan) and Mathematics (Moscow State University). His research focuses on Corporate Finance, Auction Theory, Behavioral Finance, and Experimental Economics.
Professor Khoroshilov has published extensively in top journals such as the Journal of Financial Intermediation, Financial Review, and Games and Economic Behavior. His work explores topics like takeover auctions, information asymmetry, and behavioral biases in financial markets. Notable contributions include studies on preemptive bidding strategies, signaling mechanisms in auctions, and experimental analyses of investor behavior.
- Research Excellence Awards: Multiple Telfer School awards, 2005 SFA Best Paper in Corporate Finance, and 2009 NEBEA Best Junior Faculty Paper.
