Yuqiu Yang

Yuqiu (Ian) Yang is an Assistant Instructor at the Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Southern Methodist University. His research focuses on cancer biology, immunology, and bioinformatics, with an emphasis on developing computational tools for biomedical data analysis and understanding mechanisms of therapy resistance in prostate cancer and immunotherapy outcomes. Yang’s work integrates biostatistical methods with oncological and immunological research to advance translational medicine.

Key research areas include epigenetic regulation in cancer, T cell receptor-antigen interactions, and the application of Bayesian/deep generative models in immunology. He has contributed to methodologies like MetaNorm (for NanoString data normalization) and Cytomulate (CyTOF simulation), highlighting his expertise in computational biology and high-throughput data analysis.
