Yun Luo is a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Southampton's Southampton Business School, where she conducts research in international finance, international business, financial integration, and banking sector risk and performance. Her work has been published in prestigious journals including the Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, and International Journal of Finance & Economics.

Her current projects examine the impact of financial integration and banking sector M&A on bank performance, determinants of FDI, and the social impact of financialization on income inequality.
Dr. Luo's recent publications demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary focus spanning finance, economics, and international business with applications across global markets. Her 2024-2025 work shows particular emphasis on climate risk in investment decisions, communications in M&A success, and the relationship between debt levels and wealth distribution.
Dr. Luo actively supervises PhD students Jiaxiang Ye and Ziye Liu in Business Studies & Management and is accepting new PhD applicants. At Southampton Business School, she teaches advanced finance courses including MANG6022 Fixed Income Security Analysis, MANG6021 International Finance, and MANG6298 Management of Financial Risk.
