Yuhua Chen

Dr. Yuhua Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston, affiliated with the Systems Research Laboratory (SRL). She holds Senior Member statuses with the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and IEEE. Her research focuses on optical networks, quantum cryptography, FPGA systems, IoT, and high-performance routers, with emphasis on system prototyping for real-world applications.

Her lab emphasizes practical prototyping, with NSF-funded projects creating testbeds for DWDM multi-mode switching and quantum-secure communication systems.
