Dr. Yuhong Guo is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Machine Learning at Carleton University, with cross-appointment as Canada CIFAR AI Chair at Amii. She directs the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Lab, focusing on representation learning, domain adaptation, and limited-supervision learning.
Research spans machine learning foundations including domain generalization, few-shot learning, and reinforcement learning, applied to computer vision, NLP, and medical data analysis. Recent work emphasizes efficient learning under constrained resources.
Her group develops novel methods for federated learning, cross-domain adaptation, and medical image analysis. Recent publications show strong emphasis on healthcare applications and efficient learning paradigms.
