Yuexin Liu

Yuexin Liu is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology & Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University's College of Engineering. They are also affiliated with the Master of Engineering Technical Management program. Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (2022) and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida International University (2015).

Research interests include:

• Deep Reinforcement Learning for microswimmer control and cybersecurity in cyber-physical systems
• Machine Learning in education, particularly leveraging eye-tracking to support learners with disabilities and enhance STEM education
• Technology-driven wellness initiatives, including wearable-based mental health monitoring for professionals
• Advancing distance learning through emerging technologies like AI and adaptive learning systems

Prominent research trends show focus on biomarker-driven mental health frameworks (2025), AI applications in stress prediction, and machine learning for educational equity. Recent work emphasizes wearable technology integration and large language models (LLMs) in student support systems.
