Yuexi Chen

Yuexi (Tracy) Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Tech and previously worked at Adobe Research and Stanford University as a postdoctoral fellow. Her research focuses on human-centered AI techniques for interactive data analysis and visualization, emphasizing example-driven design and data-driven communication. She directs the Human-Data Interaction Research Group, which develops frameworks and systems for visualization generation and data analysis planning.
