Yuefeng Sun

Yuefeng Sun is the Mollie B. & Richard A. Williford Professor of Quantitative Petroleum Geology at Texas A&M University's Department of Geology & Geophysics. His career includes roles at Columbia University (Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory) and The Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi. He holds a B.S. from China University of Petroleum (1981), M.S. (1989), and Ph.D. (1994) from Columbia University.

Research focuses on quantitative petroleum geology, rock physics (pore structure, poroelasticity), and reservoir geophysics (seismic inversion, carbonate reservoir characterization).
