Yue Wang

Yue (Jessica) Wang is an Associate Professor at the University of California, Merced, holding joint appointments in Chemical and Materials Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Bioengineering. Her research focuses on developing bio-inspired functional materials, including dynamically adaptive electronics, additive manufacturing of metamaterials, and organic reconfigurable materials. Her lab emphasizes sustainability in both environmental impact and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Prof. Wang’s work integrates polymer synthesis, characterization, mechanics, and additive manufacturing. Key projects include 3D printed conductive hydrogels, organic crystals, and slime mold-aided bio-design networks. These innovations aim to create customizable biomedical devices for biomarker detection and stimulation.
