Yuan Xiong serves as a Senior Scientist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, based at Longwood Center (LC-2111B), where she conducts research at the intersection of chemical biology and therapeutic development.
Her academic credentials include:
- B.S. in Chemistry from Tsinghua University
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Boston University
Her research program focuses on designing small molecule degraders as dual-purpose chemical probes for biological investigation and potential cancer therapeutics. This work builds on her postdoctoral training in Professor Nathanael Gray's laboratory at Dana-Farber, where she targeted KRas and related oncogenic proteins using small molecule inhibitors and degraders. Her expertise spans targeted protein degradation, medicinal chemistry optimization, and oncology-focused drug discovery with emphasis on undruggable targets.
