Yu Zhang is an Associate Professor at Lehigh University's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, jointly appointed in the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received his PhD in ECE from East China University of Science and Technology in 2013 and completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
- Education: PhD (2013) and B.S. (2008) at East China University of Science and Technology; Postdoc fellowships at Stanford (2017-2020) and UNC-Chapel Hill (2016-2017)
His research focuses on Computational Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, and Precision Psychiatry, with a particular emphasis on brain connectome analysis, neurobiomarker discovery, and machine learning applications in mental health. His work has been published in top-tier journals like Nature Biomedical Engineering, NeuroImage, and IEEE Transactions series.
He leads the Brain Imaging and Computation (BIC) Lab at Lehigh University, located in Sinclair Lab 206, Bethlehem, PA 18015. His academic career spans roles at East China University of Science and Technology (2013-2016), RIKEN Brain Science Institute (2010-2012), and visiting scientist appointments at RIKEN.
