Yu-Xiang Wang is an Associate Professor at the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at UC Santa Barbara from 2018-2023, where he founded the S2ML lab and co-founded the Center for Responsible Machine Learning. He earned his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University's Machine Learning Department and worked at Amazon AI before joining academia.

Research Focus: His work spans machine learning theory, differential privacy, reinforcement learning, and practical applications in healthcare and financial markets. Current Position: Actively recruiting motivated students and postdocs for his S2ML lab at UC San Diego.
