Dr. AlKhouri's research centers on Global Christianity and Contextual Theologies, with deep specialization in Palestinian Christian history under occupation. His work integrates Advocacy and Peacemaking through Holistic Missions frameworks, critically examining how Israeli colonization impacts theological interpretation and community resilience. This contextual approach bridges biblical scholarship with lived Palestinian realities.
His 2022-2024 publications reveal a trajectory toward decolonial ecotheology and nativity reinterpretation, analyzing creation care within colonization and Gaza's Christmas narrative. These works collectively advance Palestinian Liberation Theology while addressing refugee crises through missiological lenses, demonstrating consistent engagement with socio-political dimensions of faith.
He contributes to interfaith dialogue as board member of Kairos Palestine, Christ at the Checkpoint, and the Academic Alliance for Interfaith Dialogue in Palestine, extending his scholarly work into practical advocacy and community engagement initiatives.
