You Peng is an Associate Professor at the School of New Materials and New Energy, Shenzhen University of Technology, specializing in next-generation photovoltaic technologies. He joined the institution in October 2020 after completing postdoctoral research at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
- PhD in Applied Physics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2018)
- MS in Physics, Qingdao University (2013)
- BS in Physics, Qingdao University (2010)
His research centers on perovskite solar cells and two-dimensional materials, with significant contributions to laser processing techniques, grain boundary engineering, and stability enhancement. His work bridges fundamental materials science with practical device engineering, focusing on scalable manufacturing methods for high-efficiency photovoltaics. Key innovations include 2D material integration for hole conduction and antioxidant passivation strategies for tin-based perovskites.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals dominant trends in lead-free perovskite alternatives, 2D material interfaces, and ultrafast laser processing. The research consistently targets industrial scalability while addressing stability challenges through novel material combinations and interface engineering.
- Class B talent in Shenzhen's Peacock Plan (2021)
- Gold Medal, Canadian International Invention Competition (2016)
- National Encouragement Scholarship (2007)
As principal investigator, he leads a National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund project and a Shenzhen University High-end Talent Research Initiation Project, while participating in five additional major grants totaling over 6 million RMB. His research group collaborates extensively with international partners on perovskite stability and 2D material applications, with equipment access through the university's advanced materials characterization platform.
