Yoonsung Jung is an Instructional Associate Professor and Director of the Statistical Consulting Center at the Department of Statistics, Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Kansas State University and has over two decades of experience in statistical consulting, specializing in experimental design, biostatistics, machine learning, and big data analysis. His work supports interdisciplinary projects in engineering, medicine, public health, and agriculture.
Dr. Jung earned his M.S. degrees in Statistics (Texas A&M University) and Mathematical Statistics (Korea University). He has collaborated widely, leading to numerous publications and presentations. His research interests span statistical methodology, food science, and biomedical applications, with a focus on practical solutions to real-world problems through data-driven approaches.
His recent articles explore topics such as biopesticide efficacy in agriculture, functional food development (e.g., probiotic yogurt with fucoxanthin), and the immune response in livestock. He emphasizes bridging statistical theory with applied problems, particularly in health and environmental sectors. Dr. Jung’s role as Director of the Statistical Consulting Center underscores his commitment to fostering collaborative research and mentoring future statisticians.
