Yongjoo Park

Yongjoo Park is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at UIUC and co-founder/Chief Scientist at Keebo. His research develops systems for data-intensive AI, including efficient Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), time-traveling notebooks, and in-storage computing optimizations.

Current research projects:

• Kishu: Version control systems for exploratory AI in Jupyter environments
• CARE: Scalable causal-relational systems for structured/unstructured data
• AirDB: Storage-layer transaction processing
• DeepOLA: Progressive analytics for continuous data exploration

He leads the CreateLab research group, open-sourcing systems through its GitHub organization. Recent recognitions include NSF grants and industry partnerships with IBM.
