Professor Yong Zeng is a faculty member at the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, Concordia University, currently on sabbatical until June 30, 2026. His academic career spans institutions including the National Research Council of Canada and Dalian University of Technology, with dual PhD degrees in Design Engineering (University of Calgary, 2001) and Computational Mechanics (Dalian University of Technology, 1992).
- Research focuses on Environment-Based Design theory, neurocognitive models of creativity, and interdisciplinary applications of linguistics in design
- Editorial roles: Former Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Integrated Design and Process Science (2012-2019), current Associate Editor for AI EDAM and Journal of Engineering Design
