Yoli Ngandali is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Reed College and a Ph.D. candidate in Archaeology at the University of Washington. A Ronald E. McNair Fellow, her research combines digital methods and community-based approaches to revitalize Indigenous art traditions, focusing on Lower Columbia River carving practices. She employs multispectral imaging, geophysical surveys, and legacy data reanalysis.
Her work emphasizes Black/Indigenous futurity, collaborating with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. She co-hosted the SAPIENS podcast 'Our Past is Our Future' (2022), highlighting Black/Indigenous scholars in archaeology.
