Yolanda Aguilera García is an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemical Engineering at Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO). Her research focuses on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with emphasis on pancreatic beta cell regeneration and lipid metabolism.
Education:
- PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Seville (2000), with thesis: "Protective role of squalene from olive oil against the teratogenic effects produced by ethanol in the development of the retina of the chicken embryo"
Research Groups: Was part of "Meta" and "Regeneration of the Pancreatic Beta Cell" initiatives. Her work connects to Health Science and Techniques through nutritional and developmental biochemistry studies.
