معرفی
Ylva Wahlquist is a doctoral student at the Department of Automatic Control, part of the Lund Institute of Technology at Lund University. She is affiliated with ELLIIT (the Linköping-Lund initiative on IT and mobile communication) and the LTH Profile Areas: AI and Digitalization, and Engineering Health. Her research focuses on biomedical engineering, particularly hemodynamic modeling in intensive care, closed-loop anesthesia systems, and pharmacometric modeling. She has contributed to advancements in signal quality handling using Kalman filters and integration of infusion techniques with closed-loop control systems.
Ylva has taught and assisted in several courses, including Physiological Models and Computation, Systems Engineering and Process Control, and the Automatic Control Basic Course. She has supervised master’s theses on topics such as pharmacological model identifiability and individualized anesthesia approaches.
Her research outputs emphasize the application of control engineering principles to medical systems, with a focus on improving patient safety and treatment efficacy. Collaborative projects include work on hemodynamic stabilization and pharmacometric model learning, supported by grants from Vinnova and the Swedish Research Council.
- Key Projects: Hemodynamic Stabilization (2016–2023), Learning Pharmacometric Model Structures (2022–2024)
- Teaching Contributions: Course development and lab assistance across multiple engineering disciplines
