Yiyang Ge

Dr Yiyang Ge is a Research Fellow at King's College London, based at the Social Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre within the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics, School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences. He joined the institution in January 2025 and currently works in Dr Raquel Iniesta's research group, focusing on Topological Data Analysis (TDA) applications in healthcare.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in Topological Data Analysis from King's College London
• Master's degree in Machine Learning from the University of Sydney

Dr Ge's research lies at the intersection of topology and data science. His primary interests include:

• Development of novel topological methods for data analysis
• Integration of TDA techniques into machine learning models to enhance interpretability and robustness
• Applications in precision medicine and healthcare, particularly in evaluating missing data imputation quality using TDA

His current work aims to quantify structural differences between complete and imputed datasets to improve the reliability of machine learning in complex data scenarios.

He is an active member of Dr Raquel Iniesta's research group, which focuses on applying advanced mathematical frameworks to complex healthcare data.
