Ms. Yixuan Liu is a research associate at the Faculty of Sociology, Bielefeld University. She is affiliated with Department 5 - Social Structure and Social Inequality and the Diewald Research Group. Her work focuses on genetic and social determinants of life success through participation in two German Research Foundation (DFG) projects: "Genetic and social causes of life success" and the "TwinLife Epigenetic Change Satellite (TECS) Project", led by Prof. Dr. Martin Diewald. Additionally, she is registered as a doctoral researcher at the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology.
Her research interests include molecular genetic data analysis in twin family studies, epigenetic changes linked to pandemic impacts, and sociological investigations into educational success and social mobility. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects combining sociology with genetic and epigenetic methodologies.
