Dr. Yingying Zhao is a Lecturer at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences within the Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde, where she joined in 2024. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Ubiquitous Computing (Ubicomp), and applications of machine learning and deep learning to enhance user experiences through understanding attention, emotion, and cognition.

Dr. Zhao is seeking MSc (Research) and PhD students for collaborative projects and contributes to knowledge exchange initiatives like the Human-in-the-loop AI project funded by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
