معرفی
Dr Ying Liu is a Research Fellow affiliated with the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at The University of Sydney. Her research focuses on functional materials, particularly ferroelectric and antiferroelectric systems, leveraging advanced microscopy techniques like Cs-corrected TEM. She holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2017) and has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Sydney’s Australia Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (Spain).
Her work explores domain structures, mechanical properties at micro/nano scales, and material interfaces. She collaborates with the Sydney Environment Institute and Sydney Nano, contributing to interdisciplinary research. Teaching roles include guest lectures on materials microscopy and engineering materials. Current projects include in-situ TEM studies of antiferroelectrics. Supervision includes PhD candidates exploring ferroelectric materials and steel properties.
Publications highlight innovations in nanomechanics, domain dynamics, and material characterization. Her research bridges fundamental material science with applications in energy storage and advanced manufacturing.
