معرفی
Ying Bai is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Johnson C. Smith University's College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. With a career spanning over two decades, he specializes in artificial intelligence, robotics calibrations, soft computing, and database programming. His research focuses on kinematic and dynamic modeling of robots, fuzzy logic controls, neural networks, and machine learning applications in industrial and environmental contexts.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Florida Atlantic University (2000)
- M.E. in Optical & Electronics Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, China (1987)
- B.E. in Electronics Technology, Tsinghua Branch University, China (1983)
Research Focus: Dr. Bai's work integrates artificial intelligence with practical engineering applications, particularly in robotics calibration using fuzzy interpolation methods, neural networks, and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS). His recent research extends to applications in environmental prediction (flooding, fire weather), financial fraud detection, and atmospheric data analysis. He maintains strong collaborations with industry partners and has established a Robotics Laboratory at JCSU through DoD funding.
Publication Trends: Recent works demonstrate a strong emphasis on machine learning integration with traditional control systems, particularly using ANFIS and deep learning for predictive modeling in robotics, environmental science, and finance. A consistent theme is improving measurement accuracy through advanced computational methods, with increasing focus on real-world applications like disaster prediction and financial security.
