Dr. Yimin Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Durham University, specializing in urban peripheries, spatial politics of urban change, and authoritarian urbanism in China and Asia. He employs interdisciplinary lenses of language, materiality, and everyday life to analyze urban transformations.
