Yi Wu

Yi Wu is Research Assistant Professor of Physics at UCF, specializing in attosecond science and ultrashort laser pulse generation. His work produces record-setting light pulses for probing electron dynamics, including 53-attosecond X-ray flashes enabling water window spectroscopy.

Wu develops mid-IR laser systems and high-harmonic generation techniques for applications in molecular spectroscopy and material science. His research has achieved milestones like multi-mJ few-cycle pulses at 2.5 μm and tabletop soft X-ray sources.
