Yi Wang

Dr. Yi Wang serves as an Assistant Agricultural Scientist II in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station since 2022, following her post-doctoral position there from 2020-2022. Her research bridges agricultural science, environmental chemistry, and nanotechnology through innovative applications of nanomaterials in plant systems.

Dr. Wang's research focuses on agricultural and environmental nanoscience, specifically investigating the fate and toxicity of contaminants in food and agricultural plants, and developing nanotechnology applications to enhance crop nutritional quality and disease resistance. Her work spans nanoparticle-plant interactions, drought resistance mechanisms, and contaminant detection using advanced analytical techniques.

Her recent publication record shows consistent contributions to high-impact journals including Environmental Science & Technology, Nature Nanotechnology, and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
