Yi-Chun Tricia Lin is Professor and Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Southern Connecticut State University, serving since 2004. Previously, she taught writing and literature at City University of New York/Borough of Manhattan Community College (1994-2004). As a 17th-generation daughter of Taiwan, her academic work centers on ethnic, feminist, and post-colonial perspectives with a commitment to liberation and social justice.
Her research focuses on:
- Asian & Pacific women's writing
- Asian American literature
- Women of color cultural production
- Comparative studies of Pacific/Caribbean women's narratives
- Transnational feminisms and Indigenous women's storytelling
Lin secured grants including "Breaking Good: Reducing Incarcerated Women in CT" (2017), ecology/spirituality workshops (2011), and the "Women, Community, Technology" course development. She organizes the annual 64 Days of Nonviolence and presents at National Women's Studies Association conferences. Her teaching spans women's studies methodologies, Asian/Pacific literature, and transnational feminisms.
