Dr. Yen-Chu Weng is a Lecturer at the University of Washington's Program on the Environment within the College of the Environment. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography & Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and specializes in integrating biophysical and social sciences with GIS methods.

Her research bridges human-environment interactions, ecological restoration, and global education initiatives. She pioneered the course "Environmental Issues in East Asia" and co-developed a COIL project on accessibility in nature park interpretive signs with National Kaohsiung Normal University. Her work aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals framework.
