Yegor Denisovich Fain

Yegor Denisovich Fain is a Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Stability and Risk Studies within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), where he has worked since 2019. His research focuses on revolution theories, Sub-Saharan Africa political regimes, and regime change mechanisms in the Sahel region.

Fain holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from HSE University (2020) and contributes to the Fifth Generation of Revolution Studies—a framework emphasizing macro-level, historical, and geographical analyses of revolutions. His work explores phenomena like coupvolution (coups d'état during revolutions) and the role of Islamic education in Russia's regions.
