Ye Longwu

Professor Ye Longwu serves as Head of the Department of Chemistry within Xiamen University's College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and maintains affiliation with the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Nanomaterials Preparation Technology. His internationally recognized research program focuses on advancing sustainable chemical synthesis.

His research pioneers green methodologies for organic functional molecules, with groundbreaking work on alkenyl cation asymmetric transformations and chiral organic acid-catalyzed alkyne activation. This focus on reactive intermediates and heterocyclic synthesis drives innovations in pharmaceutical development and sustainable chemistry, evidenced by extensive publication in top-tier journals including Nature family publications and JACS.
