Dr. Yavuz Arslan is an economist at the University of Liverpool, specializing in macro-finance, monetary economics, housing markets, and financial stability. He previously held positions at the Central Bank of Turkey and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). His research focuses on the interplay between macroeconomic policies, financial systems, and economic stability, with notable contributions to unemployment insurance, housing markets, and crisis responses.
He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester. His teaching responsibilities include modules such as Macroeconomics I (ECON223), Advanced Topics in Macroeconomics (PHD), and Money and Banking (ECON916), where he serves as Module Coordinator.
