Yasar Bayraktar is a Lecturer in Accountancy and Governance at Birmingham City University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Karadeniz Technical University (Turkey), where he held administrative roles including Deputy Head of the Business Department and Head of the Internship Commission.
He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Karadeniz Technical University and is a Certified Public Accountant affiliated with The Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey (TURMOB - IFAC Member).
His research focuses on diverse accounting domains:
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Cost accounting and financial statement analysis
- Accounting ethics and historical accounting practices
- Environmental accounting sustainability frameworks
