Yasanur Kayikci

Yasanur Kayikci is an Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Sheffield Business School, part of Sheffield Hallam University. She previously held roles as Head of Department and Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering at state universities in Turkey and Austria, with over 25 years of industrial, consulting, and academic experience. Her research focuses on digital supply chains, Industry 4.0 technologies (AI, IoT, blockchain), sustainability, circular economy, and decision support systems. She earned a PhD in Information Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business, recognized with the Best PhD Thesis Award from the Dr Maria Schaumayer Foundation.

Dr. Kayikci has secured over £2 million in funding from institutions like the EU’s Horizon programs, British Council, and Newton Fund. Her work spans interdisciplinary projects, including industrial digital transformation consultancy for SMEs and large firms in manufacturing, automotive, and food sectors. She contributes to research themes of digital transformation and sustainable supply chains, publishing over 100 peer-reviewed articles in top journals such as the Journal of Business Logistics and Annals of Operations Research.
