Yaron Jorgen Balslev

Yaron Jorgen Balslev is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Stavanger, affiliated with the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Cultural and Linguistic Studies. His current position (2024-2026) focuses on the BLOCYP project, examining waste history in British-controlled Cyprus and Palestine (1920s–1940s). He holds a PhD in environmental history from Tel Aviv University (2017), with a dissertation analyzing urban-environmental dynamics in early Tel Aviv. His research integrates waste management, urban planning, and landscape studies, emphasizing colonial contexts.
