Dr. Yaping Shan is a Lecturer in the School of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Adelaide, Australia. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. Her research focuses on dynamic contract theory and microeconomic theory, with applications to R&D incentives, social media disinformation, and Islamic microfinance. She has taught a wide range of courses including Mathematical Economics, Microeconomics, and graduate-level Economic Analysis.
Dr. Shan has co-supervised two current Higher Degree by Research students:
- Mr. Liam Wayne Johns (Master of Philosophy) on 'Worker's Self-Management: The Efficiency of Yugoslavia's Third-Way'
- Mr. Ahmad Ali Rifan (PhD) on 'The Nexus of Indonesian Government Trust to Tax Compliance'
Her work has been published in reputable journals such as the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization and RAND Journal of Economics. She is based at Nexus 10 Tower on the North Terrace campus and can be contacted via yaping.shan@adelaide.edu.au.
